THERE ARE now 7 billion people on the planet, according to the United Nations, and this is much more of a blessing than a curse. While more people means more mouths to feed, it also means more minds to solve humanity’s problems.
Challenges loom as world population hits 7 billion
- As of Oct. 31, according to the U.N. Population Fund, there will be 7 billion people sharing Earth’s land and resources.
Census figures show sharp increase in Mass. minority population
