Mass. residents more likely to binge drink
- Mass. was one of the states with the highest rates of binge drinking with nearly 22 percent of adults saying they overconsumed alcohol - compared with a national average of 17 percent.
"I killed somebody… . This is going to change my whole life."
Lisa A. Leavitt told police after she was arrested on charges of striking and killing a woman while driving drunk.
"They determine whether the person is unaware of their surroundings or they exhibit the odor of alcohol,’’ he said. “Being passed out or being covered in vomit would be another indication.’’"
