Boston left with one all-girls Catholic high school
Mount Saint Joseph and Trinity Catholic, two Catholic high schools that date to the 19th century, will merge next fall, leaving just one Catholic girls’ high school in Boston.
Mount Saint Joseph, Trinity Catholic to merge into new high school
Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Brighton, established as an all-girls’ school in 1885, will become the new Saint Joseph Preparatory High School, opening its doors to the 200 boys and girls of Trinity Catholic High School in Newton, established in 1893.
