“Some people have a natural aptitude for waltzing into a party shop and departing 15 minutes later with a costume that can take first prize at any bar contest. I have a talent for being unable to put together a successful Halloween costume to save my life.” —

“The decision to discontinue Tag is really to focus our investment on growing our largest and most global antiperspirant and deodorant brands — Old Spice, Gillette, and Secret,’’ said Mike Norton, a P&G spokesman.” —

From Boston.com

The gaggles of women tackling Tag-wearing teens have disappeared. (Were there every any?)

That’s because Procter & Gamble Co. is eliminating the Tag line of male body sprays it rolled out five years ago to compete with front-runner Axe. Tag was the second attempt by Gillette, acquired by P&G in 2005, at capturing a whiff of the teen market after the failed launch of a Right Guard body spray in 2002.

Rejoice people of America - there is now one less smell to be repulsed by.

P.S. - Best Tag related link of the day.

“The menu is Pan-Asian-Cal-Mediterro-American. It’s a jumble. Tempura, goat cheese, and jalapenos are the most commonly recurring components. At least it’s not local-seasonal or upscale-comfort. It doesn’t look like any other menu in town.” —One-star review of Noche
